I have had some trepidation for a very long time about how a sports bar that makes pizza would handle Mexican. My initial instincts proved to be entirely correct. I don't expect the French Laundry out of Little A's, but I was hoping their chimichanga was sufficiently lowbrow to at least be Taco Bell-esque greasy-delicious. Well, the French Laundry probably wouldn't make a very good chimichanga either, but whatever. The portions are absolutely massive, which looked super impressive when I got it. I absolutely hate food waste. I spent the last *four hours* picking away trying to eat this thing. I might have got halfway in before I realized this was a good way to get food poisoning. The chimichanga was as crisp and crunchy as I would expect, but the inside was dry and bland. The black beans were okay (especially in contrast to the school cafeteria-esque, clearly frozen refried beans as a side), but there was absolutely no flavor in any of it. Even the ground beef. To be fair, they put a little thing of salsa fresca on the side, and I totally skipped over the 'fresca' part since I'm a picky idiot, so your mileage may vary there. Trying to put salsa inside a fried burrito is an interesting proposition so I wish you luck. Anyway, any time you think "I wish I had gone to Taco Bell", things haven't gone well. The rice was pretty good though. Why four stars then? I feel like Little A's pizza has gotten way better. I think I've seen on their Facebook that they frequently mess around with the recipe and it seems to have paid dividends. There's a lot more robustness to the flavor and the crust seems better. Less like cheap Maine pizza (like I mentioned in my previous review) and more like *good* pizza. Delivery (again: possibly the only delivery on MDI) is always on time and super nice so I can't fault them too much. Just don't order Mexican.

Food was ok at best. 2 calzones and both were burnt. Had hot wings that were not spicy at all. They do deliver and arrived as promised. I would not order from them again.

Late night pizza run was a success. Not much else was open in the town so we had to call around and ended up at Anthony's. Glad we did. Good pizza. Quick service.

One word. Slow. Waiting for waiter, waiting for food, waiting forever. My first and last time here.

Pizza actually tasted pretty good. This was the only bright spot. Advertised "Local Seafood", but all they had was a fried fish sandwich. There were two of us who ordered an appetizer and pizza, but it took almost an hour to come. Their excuse was that there was a large group that they were serving first. When I go out with a large group I always expect to wait a bit longer. I can't believe they couldn't find time to put in one appetizer and one pizza. We only went here because we ended up right in front of it when we were hungry and it looked decent. This was a mistake.

Completely awful, ordered pizza said they were slow on delivery prob an hour it was 2 hours we called back to see if they were still coming. Oh yes the pizza just came out it will be right there...arrived ice cold , don't fall victim as it was on the back of the hotel guide... Looking for nothing special just honesty. So it's honestly AWFUL

Pizza delivery service was poor when placing order on a Thursday night at 830pm. On the phone they said it would take 30 minutes. Pizza arrived after 55min and was stone-cold. To boot the driver claims they were not carrying any change so they profited from a 35% tip. Tourists beware. Would advise to drive into town and take out from somewhere with a better reputation.

Still the most local and authentic year round restaurant and bar on the island. Come for great food, great drinks and real people.

You know what? I was so wary of Little Anthony's for a long time, but I've been won over. The thing is, it's a dive bar, right? So if your expectations aren't sky-high, it can be a really fun place to enjoy a meal. Burgers all over Bar Harbor are wicked overpriced, but Little Anthony's makes a surprisingly satisfying one for less than the others. The folks that populate the bar are locals. It's open year-round, so I feel happy to support a business that actually participates in the year-round MDI community, that spends its money locally. They've also got really great specials every day. Keep meaning to make it for the Friday fish fry--looks so good. What seals the deal for me is that Little Anthony's delivers!!! Having a bad day and live in town and need to eat your feelings, stat? It's the most amazing thing.

food was ok (pizza, quesadilla, salads) but kitchen kept getting the orders wrong: no cheese on sandwich came with cheese, wrong toppings on pizza, small salad was large salad. Wait staff was very nice and apologetic but didnt make up for the slow kitchen. If it was busy, it would have been a disaster but being slow night it was tolerable.

First and last visit. Fries were frozen cheap crap, just like the rest of the meal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They need help. I hope they read this and look for it.

Our first visit had an iffy start. Our server couldn't describe an item on the menu, didn't know they were out of a certain beer, and the food took over half-an-hour. (We had to ask for an explanation; something about 12 kids.) But the positives made up for it! The bartender and server were very friendly & helpful. They gave us a great table (even though our party wasn't large enough to fill it), and promptly un-muted the volume on the nearest TV. And the food was decent/cheap. Bottom line: We enjoyed watching the Sunday night NFL game at Little Anthony's, and returned for Monday's. PS - I think we were sitting beside Derek V. :-)

We visited in off season. The place is a typical sports bar with bar food. Do NOT order the pizza, it was burned and tasted like cardboard. My companion had a Philly cheese steak which they said was fantastic. The other person with us had tacos and seemed to enjoy them. I wouldn't give them two stars but three seems too high. 2.5 seems about right in the star category.

The service is horrible. We waited for one hour for our food. The waiter forget to bring my drink. The waitress mistook our orders and brought the wrong dish after an hour. Now I am wondering if I need to wait another hour for the food. They wouldn't even apologize! So bully and unreasonable!

My family and I ate there this past July, there were 14 of us. They had 1 waitress, very nice lady, but slow service. Food took a lonnngggg time to come and when it did, everything was cold. We had to send it back and wait a long time to get it back again. We didn't understand, as we were the only ones eating dinner. The other patrons were at the bar. I think the only thing we did finish was the nachos (which didn't have enough cheese). Maybe as a bar it is fine? But for food - thumbs down!

It's ok..when we went 4 direct tvs did not work. The tables were very dirty and the portions so-so. The food is standard greasy spoon pub food. On the up side the service was freindly (very slow) but friendly. And compared to the other local competition there prices are far lower. It seems to be more a local watering hole first and food was just an after thought.

Came here for lunch one day at around 1pm and we were the only ones there. We didn't expect too much since it's a sports bar but the waiter/bartender was friendly and service was pretty good. As more and more people arrived, he was still the only waiter to serve them. We were impressed since we've had some not so great service at other restaurants. I ordered buffalo wings and was told that on Sundays, they actually have $0.50 wings so that was even better. They came out nice and crispy and with good flavor. I do like my wings a bit hotter but they were pretty good. Boyfriend had the buffalo chicken sanwich with waffle fries. The fries were great. I didn't try his sandwich but he really enjoyed it. Anyway, the place is spacious with what seemed like a lot of activities for the kids/families and overall, just a good meal.
